Torsten Fenslau was a German DJ, producer and music composer, born in Frankfurt on May 6, 1964. He is considered to be a pioneer of the German techno and house scene of the 1990s.
Fenslau began his career as a DJ in Frankfurt in the mid-1980s, soon becoming known for his innovative mixing techniques and his ability to blend different genres of electronic music. In 1988, he established his own record label, Abfahrt Records, which became one of the most influential techno labels in Germany at the time.
Throughout the 1990s, Fenslau released numerous chart-topping singles, including "Bizarre Love Triangle" and "Pacific State", and became one of the most in-demand DJs in Germany. He also worked as a composer for film and television, winning a German Film Award in 1997 for his score for the film "Wintersleepers".
Tragically, Fenslau died in a car accident on November 6, 1993, at the age of 29. His legacy, however, continues to influence the German techno and house scene to this day.
